May  21,  2013,  Professor  Xia  Yafeng  gave  us  a  lecture.    Professor  Xia  is  the  Senior  Fellow  of  Woodrow  Wilson  International  Center  for  Scholars,  and  adjunct  professor  of  the  Cold  War  International  History  Research  Center  of  East  China  Normal  University,  He  made  two  lectures  to  the  teachers  and  students  of  Center  for  History  of  World  Civilizations,  the  titles  are  “Western  research  on  the  detente  of  China-US  relations  in  the  1970s”and  “twenty-first  century  the  rise  of  China  and  the  United  States’  reaction”.  Lectures  were  chaired  by  Professor  Wang  Jinxin,  director  of  Center  for  History  of  World  Civilizations.
